Founded in 2011, Fasanara is a global asset manager and technology platform managing approximately USD 6 billion in assets under management as of July 2026, investing across private and public markets on behalf of institutional investors globally. The Role
The Risk Analytics Associate works on the development and delivery of portfolio risk analytics across Fasanara's Asset-Backed Finance (ABF) strategies. This role sits at the intersection of Risk, Investment, and Technology, translating complex portfolio data into actionable insights to support investment decisions, portfolio construction, and risk monitoring.
The position combines strong technical expertise in data analytics and modelling with a commercial mindset, supporting multiple stakeholders including Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, and Investor Relations. The role involves writing a lot of code for the analytics platform, and ensuring high standards of code and data quality, as well as scalability.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of portfolio risk analytics across ABF strategies, including: concentration, exposure, performance tracking, stress testing, outlier investigations, monitoring tools, and reporting outputs
- Ensure full documentation and reproducibility of models and analytics
- Work closely with Tech and Data Engineering teams to improve data quality and reconciliation
- Action reports for regulatory, audit, and governance processes
Requirements
Essential
- Interest in data analytics within private credit, asset-backed finance, securitisation, or related fields
- Basics of ABF / securitisation fundamentals
- Intermediate Python, (especially Pandas) skills for data analysis, motivation to write production-ready code
- Basics of git, CI/CD and collaborative development environments
- Intermediate SQL skills
- Ability to analyse concentration, exposure dynamics, and performance trends across portfolios
- Ability to translate business and risk requirements into analytical outputs
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences in a structured and actionable way
Desirable
- Understanding of portfolio risk concepts
- Exposure to securitisation transactions
- Familiarity with scenario analysis and stress testing frameworks
- Understanding of data engineering concepts (data pipelines, ingestion, transformation)
- Experience working with multiple datasets from different sources, including data integration, standardisation and reconciliation
- Understanding of cloud-based environments (AWS preferred)
- Interest in leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance analytics capabilities
