Job Description

Junior Property Manager

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working Pattern: Hybrid , 2 days in office

Location: Stirling Area

About the Role

We are working with an established organisation to recruit a Junior Property Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in customer service, administration or property who is looking to develop their career within a varied and hands-on role.

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management and maintenance of a portfolio of residential properties, coordinating contractors and works, and acting as a key point of contact for customers.

The role would suit someone who is highly organised, enjoys dealing with people and is comfortable taking ownership of issues from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and repair of residential properties.
  • Liaise with contractors to arrange repairs, quotations, tenders and planned works.
  • Monitor ongoing works to ensure they are completed to the required standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing regular updates and resolving queries or issues promptly.
  • Deal confidently and professionally with challenging customer situations.
  • Organise customer meetings, including preparing agendas and following up on actions.
  • Assist with monitoring property budgets, invoices and financial information.
  • Support the administration of property-related documentation, contracts, insurance and invoicing.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new properties and ensure all relevant information is recorded accurately.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and internal system records.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the wider business to ensure customers receive a high level of service.
  • Carry out property visits when required.
  • Support the wider team with general administration and ad hoc duties.

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in customer service and administration, although previous property experience would be advantageous rather than essential.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Confidence dealing with customers, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Good IT and administrative skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Confidence working with basic financial information, invoices and budgets.
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
  • The confidence to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Previous experience within property, facilities, administration or a customer-facing environment would be beneficial.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the requirement to visit properties.

What We're Looking For

The most important qualities for this position are customer service, organisation, communication, attention to detail and ownership.

This could be a particularly good opportunity for someone who has worked in a busy customer-facing environment and has developed strong administrative skills, but is now looking to move into a more specialist property-focused position.

Equally, candidates with previous property administration, lettings, estate agency, facilities or property management experience are encouraged to apply.

What’s on Offer?

  • Hybrid working.
  • Full-time, 35-hour working week.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Training and development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work towards relevant professional/property qualifications.
  • A varied role with genuine responsibility and scope to develop.
