Job Summary

This is a Junior Clinical Fellow (ST1/2) to replace a current gap in service provision for twelveMonths. The remit of the post holder will be to work within the multi-disciplinary team providingand further developing care for women in Maternity & gynaecology. In addition, the individualwill be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department.

The post-holder will be expected to take part equally with other trainee in such a rota withEWTD with retrospective cover. The post will be based at the Princess Royal site of Kings College Hospital and the proposedtimetable is attached. Some cross site working to encourage full integration of thedepartments may be required in the future. The On-Call commitment is for a 1:8 rota.

As a junior employee of the Trust, you will work in close co-operation with, and support otherclinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcareto the Trust's patients. Although the post is not recognised by the Royal College ofGynaecologist as training posts, they offer excellent educational opportunities and the

successful applicant will be given the same educational opportunities.

Main duties of the job

Applications are invited for a Trust Junior Clinical Fellow post in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to be based at the Princess Royal site of King's College Hospital NHS

Foundation Trust to commence in September 2024 for a 12-month fixed term contract, which may be renewed. This post will provide an ideal opportunity as an introduction to obstetrics and gynaecology. The post holder will be on-call (with ST3-5 and ST6-7) as part of the Junior O&G rota which is EWTD compliant and provides protected time for teaching.
