Venturi
Integration Engineer
Requirements
Requires 6+ years of integration engineering experience with recent, hands-on production build experience on Azure. Candidates must have proven experience leading engineers and a strong grounding in API security and design patterns.
Job Description
Lead Integrations Engineer | Azure | Up to £100,000 + 20% Bonus | Manchester (Hybrid, 2 days/week)
On behalf of a leading UK retail and e-commerce brand, Venturi is hiring a Lead Integrations Engineer to own the target integration architecture for a well-known, fast-growing consumer name.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You'll spend roughly half your week in code, building and reviewing the most complex integrations on the Azure stack, and the other half on architecture, standards and leading the Integrations team.
The role
- Own the integration architecture connecting major SaaS platforms (including Workday, Oracle Symphony and NetSuite) to data, finance and operational systems
- Personally design and build the highest-risk, most complex integrations on Azure (APIM, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid)
- Line-manage the Integrations Engineers: performance, development, one-to-ones and engineering culture
- Lead the controlled migration off a legacy MuleSoft Anypoint estate onto Azure, keeping legacy flows safely operational until retirement
- Define and enforce integration patterns and standards across the team, from API design to observability and security
- Review pull requests, pair on the hardest problems, and act as senior technical escalation point for major incidents
What you'll need
- Recent, hands-on Azure integration build experience. You've personally designed and built production integrations on Azure (APIM, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus) with code committed in the last 12 months. This is a builder-manager role, not a hands-off one.
- Real experience leading engineers, whether as a line manager or technical lead, including performance management and development of a team.
Beyond those two essentials:
- 6+ years in integration/API engineering
- Strong API design skills (REST, JSON, OpenAPI) and event-driven patterns
- Experience integrating enterprise SaaS systems (Workday, Oracle Symphony, NetSuite, Salesforce or similar)
- Solid grounding in API security on Azure (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, Managed Identity, Key Vault, APIM policies)
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
MuleSoft experience is a bonus, not a requirement, if your Azure delivery is current and strong.
What's on offer
- Salary up to £100,000 with 20% bonus potential
- 33+ days annual leave, rising with service
- Private medical cover, pension matching, life assurance
- Genuine investment in professional development and leadership growth
- A fast-paced, high-impact role at the heart of a well-known consumer brand's technology transformation
- Visa Sponsorship considered
