Hanami International
Insolvency Manager | Guernsey OR work remotely from anywhere in the UK
Requirements
Applicants must hold an ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent qualification and have at least five years of corporate insolvency or restructuring experience in the UK or offshore. JIEB or CPI is advantageous; experience with offshore, fund, or trust insolvency, forensic accounting, or asset tracing is also desirable.
Job Description
You’ll run cases involving offshore funds, trust structures and international groups, tracing and recovering assets across borders through courts in New York and Cayman.
The team you’d join has a proven track record in offshore recoveries, and island life just off the coast of France comes with the job. Behind you is a well-established UK and offshore advisory group, so this is a place to build your name in offshore insolvency and set up your future for the long run.
Pick your base
- Already based in Guernsey? Perfect
- Interested in relocating? Relocation costs are covered, and the firm applies for your employment permit
- Based in the UK and seeking more flexibility? Work remotely and spend a few days a month on the island
Guernsey has a flat 20% income tax rate and no capital gains or inheritance tax.
The work
- Formal appointments, including liquidations and administrations, run from start to close
- Tracing and recovering assets across jurisdictions
- Independent business reviews and options work for distressed Channel Islands and international businesses
- Building referral relationships across the island
- Coaching and reviewing the administrators on your cases
About you
- ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent
- 5+ years in corporate insolvency or restructuring, in the UK or offshore (Big Four restructuring backgrounds welcome)
- JIEB or CPI is a plus
- Nice to have: offshore, fund or trust insolvency, forensic accounting or asset-tracing experience
You’re at your best when a case gets complicated, with assets hidden behind layers of structures and three jurisdictions in play. You keep a cool head, explain the position plainly, and enjoy being the person everyone looks to when it matters.
