Immigration Paralegal (Chinese Speaking)

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Chinese-speaking Immigration Paralegal to join our London office on a full-time, office-based basis.

Working closely with our solicitors, you will play a key role in supporting a broad range of UK immigration matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in immigration law within a dynamic and growing legal practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with the preparation and management of UK immigration applications across a range of visa categories.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, application forms, client correspondence, witness statements, and supporting representations.
• Gather, review, and organise supporting evidence to ensure applications are accurate and complete.
• Conduct legal research on UK immigration legislation, policies, and Home Office guidance.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and provide updates throughout their matters.
• Maintain accurate case files, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely submission of applications.
• Communicate with the Home Office and other relevant authorities where appropriate.
• Provide language support for Chinese-speaking clients, including explaining legal procedures and translating documents when required.
• Support the wider legal team with administrative and case management tasks as needed.

Requirements

Essential

• Fluent in both English and Chinese (spoken and written).
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong understanding of immigration law and procedures.
• Excellent drafting, research, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and prioritise competing workloads.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach.
• Proactive, resilient, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a law firm or legal environment, particularly in immigration law.
• Experiences preparing immigration applications across various visa routes and different jurisdictions.
• Paralegal qualification or additional legal training.
