Requirements

The role requires an experienced HR professional capable of working in a busy, solution-focused team. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability, strong commitment to service excellence, and the ability to coach and challenge effectively.

Job Description

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Two roles available, one based in Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (HLS) and the other in the Faculty of Environment and Social Sciences (ESS)

As a HR Officer you will have responsibility for the full range of HR activities including workforce planning and recruitment you will support managers in dealing with staffing issues effectively and implementing process improvements to enhance the service we provide. You will be a key member of our busy, solution focussed HR team, working with colleagues across the service on both “business as usual” and service wide HR strategic initiatives. Alternatively, you may be working with one of the University’s major change programmes, supporting the introduction of new ways of working.

You will bring a strong commitment to service excellence and continuous service improvement. You will be able to act as champion of good HR practice and be able to coach and challenge as required. As an experienced professional, you will be able to step straight into a busy team by being adaptable and comfortable in responding to competing demands.
