Reporting to the Health & Safety Director (SPR) the main purpose of the role is to support the development and manage the implementation of the health and safety policy, strategy and agreed operating plan across the business. The overall aim is to achieve world class performance levels working in partnership with employees, contractors, customers, and members of the public.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including Director and Executive level leaders, providing expert guidance on health and safety strategy, compliance, and performance. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the health and safety management system, supporting both operational and construction activities.
Drive a proactive safety culture focused on achieving zero harm through visible leadership, behavioural safety initiatives, audits, investigations, and continuous improvement programmes. Lead health and safety reporting, including the development of enhanced data insights and dashboards through Power BI and other reporting tools.
Manage business improvement plans, budgets, and operational health and safety objectives, ensuring delivery against agreed targets. Work collaboratively with Occupational Health teams, government bodies, industry partners, and internal stakeholders to share best practice, while leading and developing a team of Health and Safety Consultants through coaching, objective setting, and performance support.

- Educated to degree level or comparable experience.
- NEBOSH General Certificate level or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of international safety standards and ISO 45001/ 45003
- A clear understanding of the whole value chain and the key processes within the renewable industry.
- Ability to operate and positively influence at all levels in the organisation and with external stakeholders.
- Facilitation, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health is desirable.
