Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Head of Trademarks to drive the implementation of Norgine's global trademark strategy. Reporting into the LCS (Legal, Compliance & Sustainability) team, you will be a key member of our small in-house intellectual property team based in Uxbridge (hybrid).
You will be responsible for protecting, managing and maximising the value of Norgine's trademark portfolio and providing strategic support across commercial, business development, product development and corporate activities. This role combines legal expertise, commercial insight and people leadership to ensure Norgine's brands are protected and positioned to support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Norgine's global trademark protection, enforcement and portfolio management strategy
- Provide specialist trademark advice on brand clearance, freedom-to-use assessments, product launches and business development initiatives
- Lead trademark disputes, oppositions, infringement matters and litigation activities, managing external counsel where required
- Support commercial agreements, licensing arrangements and partner collaborations to ensure appropriate intellectual property protection
- Supervise and coach other member(s) of the Trademarks team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Oversee trademark operations, governance processes, budgets and compliance activities to ensure effective risk management and operational excellence

Requirements
- Qualified Trademark professional with at least 3 years' PQE experience managing global trademark portfolios within a regulated industry
- Proven experience in Trademark law, brand protection, enforcement strategies and intellectual property risk management
- Proven ability to provide commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Experience managing contentious trademark matters, disputes and external legal advisers
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across international and cross-functional environments
- Proven ability to mentor, coach and develop junior team members
