We're seeking a strategic and delivery-focused Head of Platform & Product Delivery to lead the successful implementation of critical technology projects, platforms, and products across the business.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing major technology programmes, shaping product roadmaps, and ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions that support both internal operations and client-facing services. From large-scale system implementations to data and AI-enabled products, you will be at the forefront of driving transformation and business value.
About the Role
As Head of Platform & Product Delivery, you will lead the delivery function, ensuring appropriate platform and product roadmaps are in place, projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, underpinned by appropriate delivery methodologies. Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and senior leadership, you will translate strategic objectives into successful delivery outcomes.
You will play a key role in developing and evolving the organisation's technology platforms, product portfolio, and programme governance capabilities while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What you will do?
- Lead and develop the technology delivery function, establishing strong PMO governance, reporting, and delivery disciplines.
- Oversee major technology programmes and implementations, including case management systems, data platforms, HR, finance, and CRM solutions.
- Own and manage platform and product roadmaps for both internal systems and client-facing products.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to prioritise features and initiatives based on business needs, customer feedback, and strategic objectives.
- Drive agile delivery practices across technology teams, proactively identifying and removing delivery risks and roadblocks.
- Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project lifecycles.
- Oversee quality assurance, testing strategies, and release management processes for business-critical platforms.
- Lead the delivery of client-facing technology solutions, including customer portals, system integrations, automated workflows, and emerging AI-enabled products.
- Track and report on product, platform and programme performance and business value creation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Significant experience delivering large-scale technology programmes, platforms, or products, including leadership experience within a delivery-focused role.
- Proven success managing complex technology implementations in regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of both programme management, governance frameworks, and PMO best practice as well as demonstrable experience of establishing a Product Management disciplines within a rapidly growing business.
- Experience leading high-performing delivery, project management, or product teams.
- Strong knowledge of agile delivery methodologies, with experience operating within hybrid agile and waterfall environments.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery execution.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Experience within, or knowledge of, regulated industries and the factors that define successful technology delivery.
- Experience delivering highly automated claims or case management platform implementations.
- Knowledge of data platform, business intelligence, and AI product delivery.
- Relevant qualifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent.
- Experience leading digital transformation programmes across multiple business functions.
- Familiarity with product management disciplines and customer-centred design approaches.
