Job Description

Verisk is a global leader in data analytics and technology, helping businesses make smarter decisions, manage risk, and improve outcomes. Across insurance, financial services, and many other industries, our solutions combine deep industry expertise with leading technology to solve complex challenges at scale.

The Head of Partnerships & Ecosystem is accountable for building, governing and scaling a strategic partner ecosystem that directly accelerates revenue growth, strengthens competitive differentiation, and expands market reach across the UK and Europe.

This role owns the end-to-end partnership lifecycle—working with Product leads to identify strategy and partner selection (where applicable), through commercial structuring and contracting, to performance governance and risk management—ensuring partnerships translate into pipeline, wins, retention, and sustainable margin. The focus is on deliberate, high-impact partnerships aligned to the product roadmap and European expansion plan—not opportunistic integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritise partnerships based on customer value, differentiation, regulatory coverage, scalability, and long-term strategic fit—explicitly assessing revenue opportunity and margin impact as part of prioritisation.
  • Ensure the ecosystem evolves in line with fraud typologies, regulatory change, and advances in AI and analytics to maintain market relevance and commercial defensibility.

Source, Onboard and Grow Strategic Partnerships (commercial ownership)

  • Proactively identify and engage data providers, consortiums and technology partners across European markets, focusing on those that unlock new revenue, improved win rates, and stronger account expansion.
  • Act as the single accountable owner for senior partner relationships spanning both commercial and strategic dimensions, with clear expectations of joint value creation.
  • Lead partner onboarding and integration planning in close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Legal and Operations—ensuring integrations become sellable propositions, not “technical connections.” Ensure sales-teams understand partnership strategy and execution as it relates to market positioning/rationale
  • Develop joint roadmaps and long-term plans with priority partners to drive mutual growth, innovation and market relevance—including where appropriate joint customer engagement and co-sell motions in conjunction always with Strategic Account Director for the client.
    • Revenue share and licensing models
    • Per-transaction and usage-based pricing
    • Data usage, IP rights and territorial coverage
    • Exclusivity, preferred partner and co-innovation terms

  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, Finance and Product to ensure contracts are:
    • Scalable across multiple countries and regulatory regimes
    • Fully GDPR compliant and aligned to data governance standards
    • Optimised for platform economics, margin protection and long-term flexibility
  • Establish repeatable commercial frameworks to reduce friction and accelerate deal velocity (templates, playbooks, standard positions, escalation paths).

Enable Product, Sales and Go-to-Market Execution (turn partner capability into revenue)

  • Translate partner capabilities into clear, compelling product and customer value propositions that Sales can position as commercial differentiators.
  • Enable Sales and Pre-Sales teams with:
    • Partner positioning guidance and use-case clarity
    • Differentiation narratives for enterprise customers
    • Support on complex RFPs and strategic deals
  • Coordinate joint go-to-market activity with partners where appropriate, including co-selling, co-marketing and joint customer engagement.  This will mean a close working relationship with Client Growth Strategist (Kat Kibbler) —aligned to revenue plans.
  • Ensure internal teams understand when, why and how to leverage partner capabilities in customer solutions to improve consistency of execution and adoption.

Governance, Performance and Risk Management (commercial accountability and control)

  • Establish robust partner governance, including:
    • Performance KPIs (usage, revenue contribution, reliability, strategic impact)
    • Ongoing regulatory, data and operational risk oversight
    • Clear exit strategies and contingency planning for underperforming partners
  • Actively manage dependency risk, overlap and concentration within the ecosystem—protecting customer delivery and commercial resilience.
  • Continuously review and refine the partner portfolio to ensure it remains fit for purpose as the market evolves.

Qualifications

What Success Looks Like

  • A coherent, scalable partner ecosystem that materially enhances product capability, market differentiation, and supports revenue growth in the UK.
