Job Description
Based in Manchester on a 12 month fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave this senior Internal Communications role will lead the function across City Football Group, connecting colleagues to our commitments, culture and ambitions.

The Role
As Head of Internal Communications, you will lead and deliver the CFG Internal Communications plan, aligned to business and People priorities. You will establish a strong communications rhythm across the organisation, balancing planned activity with emerging business needs and ensuring communications are clear, engaging and appropriate for different employee audiences.
You will act as a trusted communications adviser to senior leaders, providing counsel on messaging, employee communications and engagement, including complex, sensitive and high-profile matters. You will lead and develop a small Internal Communications team, set priorities, maintain high standards and oversee internal video production, digital content and key employee communications.
You will also lead employee listening and feedback, support the development and activation of CFG’s employee value proposition and employee brand, manage Internal Communications spend and build strong relationships with Communications and People teams across CFG’s clubs and locations. You will identify responsible, practical opportunities to use AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and impact.
What You’ll Bring

- Experience developing and delivering Internal Communications strategies and plans aligned to organisational and People priorities.
- Credibility and judgement to advise and influence senior leaders on complex and high-profile communications.
- Experience leading and developing a communications team, setting clear priorities and maintaining high standards of delivery.
- Excellent written, verbal and editorial communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging and audience-appropriate communications.
- Strong knowledge of communications channels, content planning and multimedia production, including overseeing video and digital content.
