The Role

We're partnering with an ambitious, well-funded AI software startup that's transforming how a major global industry operates.

Backed by leading investors and already working with some of the largest businesses in its market, the company is building intelligent software to replace outdated processes involving spreadsheets, documents, emails and manual workflows.

They're looking for exceptional Full Stack Engineers to join their early London engineering team.

This is a genuinely high-ownership opportunity. You won't simply pick up tickets or maintain existing systems. You'll work directly with customers, understand complicated operational problems, make product decisions and build software from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship production software across frontend, backend and AI-powered systems.
• Develop scalable applications using Python, TypeScript, React and modern cloud technologies.
• Work directly with customers to understand their operations, challenges and requirements.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into elegant, reliable software solutions.
• Take ownership of features and product areas from initial discovery through deployment.
• Build AI-powered workflows involving documents, structured data and complex business processes.
• Make thoughtful product and UI/UX decisions, balancing customer needs with scalable engineering.
• Ship quickly, learn from real users and continuously improve the product.
• Help shape engineering standards, architecture and technical direction as the team grows.

What We're Looking For

• Experience engineering and shipping software at an exceptional, high-performing technology startup or similarly demanding product engineering environment.
• A strong track record of building real products used by customers, ideally in fast-moving, high-ownership teams.
• Strong professional Python experience, including building production backend services or applications.
• Strong frontend engineering skills, particularly React and TypeScript, with the ability to build polished, intuitive user interfaces.
• Genuine full-stack ownership, rather than exclusively backend, infrastructure, data or frontend experience.
• Evidence of building significant features, systems or products from scratch.
• Strong product intuition, sound technical judgement and an appreciation for good design.
• Confidence working directly with customers and translating complex, sometimes unclear requirements into working software.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, supported by an excellent technical or academic background.
• Comfortable working onsite in Shoreditch, London, five days per week.

We're more interested in the quality of your engineering experience, the environments you've worked in and what you've actually built than a specific number of years in the industry.
