Financial Controller - FMCG - £70,000–£80,000 DOE + Bonus

Robert Half are partnering with an established and growing SME FMCG business to recruit a Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, commercially minded finance professional who is comfortable working in an SME environment and wants to play a key role in supporting the wider management team.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day finance function and provide valuable financial and commercial insight to the wider business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing core finance operations, including AP and AR
• Management reporting and financial analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Balance sheet management and reconciliations
• Financial compliance
• Strengthening financial controls
• Identifying and implementing process improvements
• Supporting the wider management team with financial insight
• Contributing to strategic decision-making and business growth

About You

We are looking for a qualified finance professional who:

• Is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Has a minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience
• Has a strong hands-on SME background
• Is comfortable operating across all areas of a finance function
• Has strong technical accounting and reporting experience
• Is commercially astute and able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
• Is proactive, hands-on and enjoys improving processes and controls

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 DOE + bonus
