Requirements
Candidates must hold a degree in accounting and possess at least five years of experience in finance. Proficiency in accounting systems like Agresso and strong analytical and communication skills are required.
Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
A member of the Finance Management Team (FMT) of the Finance Department.
Lead in monitoring and analysis and forecasting of the financial performance of the Organization, and to influence our partners in defining strategies that support long-term stability and growth of the Organization. This role will provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, contracting, accounting and budgeting efforts of the Organization in accordance with leadership and organizational objectives.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the preparation and analysis of rolling forecasts, annual plans, three-year financial budgets and strategic plans for the whole organization.
- Lead in the review of the financial reports, special analyses, information reports and materials for Executive Team and Board of Directors meetings based on the analysis of the projections and SCP financial performance.
- Provide technical support to the Budget Holders in setting and monitoring objectives, goals and budgets for each program which are aggressive, achievable and tied to achieving long-term goals.
- Ensures accurate Level of Effort (LOE) and premise costs charging/mapping.
- Guidance on actions to secure support for funding gaps
- Work with the Strategic Financial Management Team in the discussion and preparation of the project budget.
- Ensure closed monitoring of actuals and forecast of each award/project in coordination with the Strategic Financial Management Team
Management Reporting & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure accurate, reliable and timely submission of monthly/quarterly Results of Operations and provide other key management analysis/ ratios for review of the Chief Finance Officer which will be presented and discussed to the Executive Team, Finance Committee and the Board.
- Reporting compliance to external parties such as with DSWD, BIR and PCNC.
Risk Management & Financial Controls
- In coordination with all SCP Units, ensure effective internal controls, including organization policies and procedures are in place.
- In coordination with the Chief Finance Officer, ensure the development and implementation of the finance capacity building plan.
- Review monthly/quarterly updates on LOE mapping to monitor the funding gaps and coordinate with the Program/Awards and BDU teams to address these.
Others
- Key finance contact to members and lead in the preparation of Organizational reports due to SCA/SCI
- In coordination with the Chief Finance Officer, ensure the development and implementation of the finance capacity building plan.
- Performs any other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the Chief Finance Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have completed a degree in accounting
- Experience in using Agresso and/or other accounting systems
- Strong financial analytical skills and in using tools specific to fund raising such as individual giving projection tools
- At least five years' work experience in Finance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently and on tight deadlines
- High sense of urgency and well-developed work ethic.
