Role
Part of this role will include being the finance lead for our Research portfolio, managing a team of 2. The Research portfolio is typically c.£20m in the following areas:
About You
You will have an honours degree or equivalent and will draw on technical expertise gained in obtaining a professional accounting qualification. You should have broad experience within a finance function (including a working knowledge of tax), be a good communicator and have experience of working with non-finance professionals. Management experience would be ideal.
You will be a leader and strong communicator, who has the technical skills to develop and deliver excellent financial information and advice to support WMS researchers and management in their work. Thereby enabling growth in research and making sure that income is maximised and costs represent best value.

The University Finance office supports business planning and innovation to maximise the financial resources available to the University and create the long-term sustainable financial platform required for future growth. Finance staff across the University are networked as a professional community of expertise. - Clinical trial activity developing new care and treatment plans (Warwick CTU being the 2nd largest in the UK),
- Laboratory based research developing new understanding of cellular activity and human pathology,
