No specific prior experience or education is required as essential farm skills and equine training are provided. Candidates must be willing to undergo training and work in an outback environment.
Job Description
Experience life on a ranch or on a horse stud in Australia with guaranteed work for up to a year. Food and accommodation are included so you can expect to take home a good wage that you'll be able to save. Perfect for funding some onward travel or taking back home with you.
After being met at the airport you will head off to the beach for a few days of rest and relaxation before the hard work begins. Feeling thoroughly relaxed and ready to go you will arrive at the training farm to get all the essential paperwork started before getting stuck in with the training.
Whilst at the training farm you will be exposed to a full range of essential farm skills. You will be mustering cattle on horses and motorbikes, building fences, driving tractors and using a chainsaw. The training is highly regarded by employers and will give you the confidence to get off to a good start in your new job. When you have completed the training you will head off to your first job on a farm raring and ready-to-go with all your new skills. Our equine programme offers an intense 5 day training in all aspects of horse related activities - polo, racing, breaking, handling youngsters, horsemanship, therapy work and much more.
Before departure you will be well supported by the Oyster team here in the UK. We have visited the training farm so are well placed to answer any questions you might have as well as provide support along the way from flights and insurance to arranging your visa.
