Job Description
Executive Assistant / Operations Coordinator (Mandarin-speaking)
We're a London based studio best known for game development, and we're now expanding into physical products, bringing our own characters to life as toys. We've already got a prototype built and we're heading to the Canton Fair in Guangzhou this October to find manufacturing partners, so it's a genuinely exciting time to join.
We're looking for someone who can support me directly day to day and help keep things running as we grow this side of the business. You'll be the main point of contact with our Mandarin speaking suppliers and manufacturers, manage our WeChat groups with prospective partners, and generally help with the operational side of the company. Comfortable using WeChat and other Chinese platforms is a must for this one.
What you'll actually be doing
- Supporting me with diary, correspondence and general day to day coordination.
- Talking directly with our suppliers and manufacturing contacts in China, building those relationships.
- Managing our WeChat groups and coordinating logistics around supplier visits and the Canton Fair trip.
- Helping keep the wider operations of the business organised as we grow.
- Occasionally helping with investor and stakeholder communication where Mandarin is needed.
What we're looking for
- Some experience as an EA, PA or operations coordinator, supporting a manager or director.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- Comfortable working independently in a small company where you'll wear a few hats.
- Happy to learn and take on supplier facing work even if you haven't done this exact thing before.
- Bonus if you've worked in a fast moving, multi stakeholder environment before.
Salary £35,000. Based between London and Woking with some travel.
Ideally looking for someone who can start by end of October.
This role may be eligible for UK Skilled Worker sponsorship for the right person.
If this sounds like you, send your CV and a short note about your experience, especially anything working with suppliers or manufacturers overseas
