- Work with approved suppliers and contractors to source parts, machinery, surveys and specialist support.
- Support the training and development of engineers and operational colleagues on new machinery and safe working practices.
- Lead engineering-related continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and environmental performance.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager and wider leadership team to deliver the site's operational objectives.
You’ll be an experienced engineering leader who combines strong technical knowledge with great people leadership.
Ideally, You’ll Bring
- Proven management experience within industrial maintenance, manufacturing or a process-driven environment.
- Strong operational maintenance experience.
- Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
- A strong understanding of both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Experience working with boilers and steam systems.
- Experience delivering continuous improvement programmes.
- Strong health, safety and compliance knowledge.
- The ability to analyse engineering and operational data and turn it into meaningful action.
- Good commercial awareness, including experience of engineering budgets and forecasting.
- A relevant engineering qualification such as a degree, HND, HNC, NVQ Level 5 or City & Guilds, or a time-served apprenticeship with relevant electrical, mechanical or steam experience.
