The mission of the Electronic Communications Board (ECOM) is to govern the Electronic Communications Systems (ECS) of the bank, based upon the policies and practices defined by Deutsche Bank policies and procedures. The ECOM is an essential central governance board which evaluates new or changed ECS and determines if they are essential to support the banks’ capabilities and compliant with policies or requirements set by Compliance, Legal, Group Data Protection and Chief Data Office (CDO) / Records Management as well as other key control functional areas.

As part of ECOM governance, this role will be responsible for overseeing reported operational issues impacting processes related to retention and monitoring. You will work with stakeholders ensuring outages are addressed in a timely manner and include appropriate remediation ensuring issues do not re-occur.  This role is responsible for reporting incidents and issues directly to the Electronic Communications Board members ensuring timely updates.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with IT application owners and business contacts to review functionality of the application and electronic communication functionality
  • Work with contacts from various control groups identifying regulatory requirements for the applications under review
  • Document information and requirements identified during the review process
  • Review information with ECOM management in preparation of final review to the ECOM Board
  • Work with application owners and business contacts to track progress of any mitigation activities identified by the ECOM board

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in Information Lifecycle Governance Programmes – Extremely beneficial
  • Experience in Financial Services industry - Mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Good Microsoft Office skills; Excel, Word, MS Project and Power Point
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
