About the school

Our client is a highly regarded group of kindergartens and nurseries with campuses across Hong Kong. Every campus shares one vision and curriculum, while keeping its own character. Children aged 2–6 learn through a child-centred, inquiry-based curriculum built on the IB Primary Years Programme, with learning through play and whole-child development at its heart.

Classes are bilingual or trilingual. Native English-speaking teachers co-teach alongside native Cantonese and Putonghua colleagues, so children are fully immersed in more than one language. Classes are small, with low teacher-to-child ratios, and hands-on, maker-style STEAM projects run alongside a structured language and literacy programme. Children leave confident, multilingual and ready for leading local and international primary schools.

The role

  • Teach and care for children aged 2–6, supporting their language, cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
  • Plan and deliver play-based, inquiry-led learning within the IB PYP framework
  • Lead the English side of a bilingual or trilingual classroom, working closely with Cantonese and Putonghua co-teachers
  • Deliver the English language and literacy programme and run hands-on, maker-style projects
  • Observe, assess and document children's progress
  • Build warm, open relationships with parents and keep them involved in their child's learning
  • Take part in school life and events, including Sports Day and Graduation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, or a Bachelor's degree in any subject plus PGCE/PGDE, or a Master's in Education with supervised teaching practice
  • Experience teaching children aged 2–6 (EYFS experience is a strong plus)
  • Native English speaker
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues from different cultures
  • Warm, patient and positive with children, parents and staff
  • A proven record as a strong classroom practitioner
  • Able to pass an enhanced DBS check and provide professional references

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of £3,000–£5,000+ per month (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • Bonus incentives
