Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Discharge Database Facilitator based at University Hospital Ayr. This post is offered on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Acute site division and be an integral part of the Integrated Discharge Hub.

Hours

36.00 hours per week.

From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

What You Will Do

You will provide a full range of administrative services supporting the work streams being taken forward within Acute Services and Patient Flow.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post

Extensive experience using Computer Programmes i.e. Word, Excel and be able to navigate and update electronic systems such as PMS and Complex Discharge Planner.

Be confident in using Business Intelligence Data and compiling reports

Awareness of both the patient journey and patient flow

Able to demonstrate co-ordinating and organisational skills in the Site Operational Hub and Integrated Discharge Hub

Knowledge and confidence in liaising with the wider multi-disciplinary team and our Health and Social Care Partners.

  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Educated to SVQ Level III in Business / Office Administration or equivalent experience
