The successful candidate will bring extensive experience delivering large-scale, technically complex infrastructure projects, alongside strong leadership, commercial and client relationship capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across design management, BIM and document control.
  • Oversee design delivery from concept through to construction across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Establish effective design management processes, governance and reporting frameworks.
  • Coordinate consultants, engineers, contractors and client-side stakeholders to achieve programme, budget and technical objectives.
  • Manage design programmes, resources, consultant performance and design budgets.
  • Ensure design solutions meet technical, operational, buildability and end-user requirements.
  • Drive design integration, information management and coordination using Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Lead design reviews, manage approvals and resolve technical issues, risks and competing priorities.
  • Foster a high-performing team culture aligned with the business's international growth strategy.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading design delivery on major international data centre projects, ideally at mega-scale or gigawatt scale.
  • Strong multidisciplinary design management expertise across complex, services-intensive environments.
  • Demonstrated capability managing design teams, resources and multiple project programmes.
  • Excellent client-facing, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen across design budgets, programme management, consultant performance and value engineering.
  • Proficiency with Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Experience working across international markets and regulatory environments; Indian Subcontinent experience is advantageous.

Candidates from other technically complex sectors, including life sciences, healthcare and industrial infrastructure, may also be considered where their experience is transferable to mission-critical environments.

Location and Working Arrangements

The role will be based in Navi Mumbai, India, with the opportunity to relocate or FIFO.

The appointment will operate under an international secondment arrangement, with visa, relocation and associated employment logistics supported by the business. Applications are welcomed from experienced candidates based in Australia and other international markets.

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Indicative base salary of approximately AUD $300,000, plus a 13th-month payment.
  • Performance bonus subject to business and individual performance.
  • Accommodation provided.
  • Business-class international flights and covered regional business travel.
  • Visa and relocation support.

Final remuneration and working arrangements will be negotiated based on experience and the agreed secondment structure.

The Ideal Candidate

This opportunity will suit an established design leader who combines technical credibility with commercial judgement and the ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary teams. You will be confident engaging senior stakeholders, aligning design outcomes with client objectives and building the capability required to support a rapidly expanding international data centre portfolio.
