Join QBE Portfolio Solutions (QPS) within our Scout: Research & Insights team, where you'll work at the heart of a growing analytics function supporting underwriting and portfolio decision-making. Working alongside teams across pricing, cat modelling, Data & AI and the wider business, you'll use data to uncover insights, support predictive analytics initiatives and help shape the future of decision-making across QPS.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical foundations who is eager to develop their career in a highly collaborative and innovative environment.

Your New Role
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Support the development of statistical models and predictive analytics solutions.
- Work closely with underwriting teams to provide data-driven insights that support portfolio and underwriting decisions.
- Use Databricks and SQL to interrogate, manipulate and analyse data.
- Partner with teams across pricing, cat modelling, Data & AI and the wider QPS function.
- Contribute to portfolio analysis, research and insight projects.
- Support the development of analytical workflows and tools.
- Translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Participate in innovation and technology-led initiatives across the analytics function.
- Continuously develop knowledge of data, analytics and insurance markets.
- Experience using statistical modelling, either commercially or through academic projects.
- Hands-on experience using Databricks and strong SQL skills.
- Coding experience and a genuine interest in analytics and data-driven decision making.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach challenges with a structured analytical mindset.
- Able to learn quickly and work effectively across a variety of teams and stakeholders.
- Insurance, actuarial, portfolio analytics or data science experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
