What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for passionate team players to bring joy to our customers every day. As a Cyber Security Specialist you’ll help protect Pret's technology, data, cloud environments and business operations. As part of the Cyber Security team, you will manage and improve a broad range of security capabilities including Security Operations, Third Party Risk Management, Identity and Access Management, Zero Trust, Cloud Security, Email and Web Security, Vulnerability Management and AI Security. Working closely with technology and business teams, you will help strengthen Pret's security posture, support strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement across our global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continually improve cyber security technologies, controls and platforms across the organisation.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to security alerts, incidents and emerging threats.
• Support and enhance Security Operations and threat detection capabilities.
• Manage Third Party Risk Management activities, including supplier security assessments and remediation tracking.
• Support Zero Trust initiatives across identities, devices, applications and networks.
• Manage Identity and Access Management controls, including privileged access and authentication technologies.
• Maintain and improve email, web and internet security controls.
• Work with infrastructure, Service desk, digital and cloud teams to improve and maintain security controls across Azure and Google Cloud environments.
• Support vulnerability management, security reviews and risk assessments.
• Support the secure adoption and governance of AI technologies.
• Lead and support cyber security projects, improvements and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain security standards, procedures and technical documentation.
• Support audit and compliance activities including PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and other relevant frameworks.
• Produce security metrics, reporting and risk insights for technical and business stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging threats and technologies to strengthen Pret's security capabilities.
  
  

Essential

Experience and Skills required

• 3+ years' experience working in Cyber Security, Information Security or Security Operations roles.
• Experience managing and operating cyber security technologies and controls.
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles, frameworks and industry best practices.
• Experience with security monitoring, investigation and incident response.
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management, MFA and privileged access controls.
• Experience with email security, web security and phishing protection technologies.
• Experience with vulnerability management, risk management and security assessments.
• Understanding of cloud security concepts, preferably within Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience conducting supplier security assessments and technology security reviews.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with recognised frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001 or PCI DSS.
• Desirable
• Professional certifications such as CISSP
• Experience with Zero Trust security architectures.
• Experience with CNAPP, CSPM or cloud security platforms.
• Experience with AI security, governance or risk management.
• Experience with security automation and orchestration technologies.
• Knowledge of retail, hospitality or consumer facing environments.

The Pret interview journey

Step one: apply! Please don’t overly rely on the use of AI, we want to get to know you, not a robot.

Then, if we move forward with your application, we’ll start the process with a 30-minute chat, so we can better understand your experience and skills. The next stage is to pop into our Head Office, where you’ll have a one-hour interview with the hiring team.

Those are the basics, but depending on the role, we might ask you to complete a task, spend time in our shops or meet someone else in the team.
