Job Description

The role

ITV Creative is ITV’s in-house creative agency, responsible for promoting our shows and building the reputation of the ITV brand. As part of the marcomms team, we create attention grabbing, strategic ideas to help ITV compete with the best of the broadcasters and streamers.

We’re hiring for two established midweight creatives (either individuals or a creative team) to work into our Campaign CD alongside our Junior and Senior Teams.

We welcome applications from both integrated campaign creatives and content makers with experience in integrated campaigns.

Main responsibilities

  • You’ll be responsible for transforming briefs into concepts that work across TV, digital, paid, organic and reactive social, print, outdoor, stunts etc.
  • You’ll have a passion for telly and be a cross-genre expert ranging from brilliant reality shows like Love Island, to thrillers like Code of Silence and The Blame.
  • You’ll possess a deep understanding of the wider television landscape. This includes keeping a close eye on what competitors are doing and staying ahead of the latest industry trends.
  • You’ll have a proven ability to spot a truly great idea and the skills to take a kernel of a concept and expand it into a comprehensive, multi-faceted integrated campaign.
  • You’ll be willing to work shoulder to shoulder with our colleagues in Marketing, to help inform and execute long term marketing aims for the business.
  • You’ll have an understanding of the "bigger picture" and the department's goals in relation to Brand. You will be able to employ diplomacy in your interactions and navigate complex situations with a professional, strategic outlook
  • You’ll work directly with the strategy team to shape and inform the briefs themselves. Your goal is to ensure that the resulting work is not only creative but also fully aligned with the strategic objectives
  • You should be able to develop projects with autonomy and also in partnership with your Creative Director or Senior Team and also creatively support our Junior Team if and when needed.
  • You are highly skilled at putting together presentations, decks and confidently selling ideas into our CD and ECD with an understanding of our genres and commissioner expectations.
  • Competent in art direction with proven experience creating imagery that can flex across every placement and platform from outdoor to social spaces - always retaining the idea.
  • Experience in ‘social first’ campaigns that leverage digital in new and compelling ways.
  • Experience writing hooky copy, headlines and scripts across every and any platform.
  • You’ll have experience and confidence creating narrative trailers and content for Linear and Social platforms, crafting alongside editors, content creatives and sound mixers and be able to give meaningful and actionable feedback to the teams.
  • You understand how to ideate and create social content that ‘stops the scroll’ working alongside editors, Audio Designers, Motion Designer, Retouchers etc.
  • You’ll help set the bar for Quality Control checking your own project assets against our QC expectations and contributing to QC approaches and documentation across the department.
  • You have some experience of shoots, leading on set and representing ITVC. You are fully comfortable with the various roles and responsibilities involved in a shoot and act as a primary creative authority in that environment alongside the CD.
  • Some experience working with talent would be beneficial both across shoots and via their teams in meetings and across email.
  • You’ll have the awareness and confidence to reach out to your CD or Producers if you see potential problems and flag before they arise.
  • You’ll independently build the profile of ITVC through the creation of standout work that gets people talking. You’ll also take an active role in supporting the ECD and CD in promoting the department's reputation.
  • You’ll be experienced working with Internal production teams and also external production partners – a team player in not just concepting but also bringing those ideas to life with production.
