Madson Black Ltd is a Royal Warrant-holding manufacturer and restorer of bespoke chandeliers, architectural lighting, and fine metalwork. We are seeking an experienced Soft Metal Worker to join our skilled workshop team. International applicants welcomed.
Working from detailed drawings, you will manufacture and finish precision components in brass and other soft metals to an exceptional standard. Much of our work is bespoke and one-off, requiring accuracy, patience, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce precision components from technical drawings
• Work confidently with brass and other soft metals
• Carry out hand-fitting, fettling, and finishing
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency
• Contribute to complex, detail-focused projects
About You
• Proven experience in metalworking
• Able to interpret detailed technical drawings
• Appreciation for traditional techniques and quality materials
• Meticulous, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Pride in producing work of lasting quality
Experience in heritage lighting or chandeliers is beneficial but not essential.
