Computer Vision Engineer
Requirements
Candidates need strong Python skills and production experience building and deploying computer vision models end to end, with depth in at least two or three relevant computer vision areas and experience working with video. They should be confident in model validation and performance measurement, able to make independent technical decisions, and comfortable working proactively in a small team; sports or broadcast-video experience is useful but not essential.

Computer Vision Engineer | Real-Time Video AI | Sports Trading | London Hybrid | upto £110k + Bonus
Have you built and deployed Computer Vision systems that understand what is happening across video, not just individual frames?
Have you worked across areas like object detection, tracking, pose estimation, action recognition or temporal event detection?
I’m working with an independent sports trading business that has been operating for around a decade and has built a strong position in cricket trading.
They’re profitable, completely self-funded, and have no external investors.
They’re now investing further into Computer Vision and data, and this will be their first dedicated Computer Vision hire.
They already have an initial pipeline that extracts information from live and historical cricket footage, but it was built by a contractor. They now need someone to take full ownership of it, improve it and make it more accurate, reliable and scalable.
The challenge is understanding what’s happening in broadcast video well enough for that data to feed into their trading models.
You’ll be working across:
- Object detection and tracking
- Pose estimation
- Action recognition
- Temporal event detection
- Different camera angles and replay footage
- Preventing duplicate or false event capture
- Validation against manually collected ground truth
What are they looking for?
- Strong Python
- Production Computer Vision experience
- Experience building and deploying CV models end to end
- Depth across at least 2 to 3 of object detection, tracking, pose estimation, action recognition or temporal event detection
- Experience working with video rather than only static images
- Strong understanding of model validation, testing and performance metrics
- Comfortable owning technical decisions independently
- Able to work in a small team without a wider CV function around you
Sports, sports-tech or broadcast-video experience would be useful, but it isn’t essential.
The culture is fast-moving and direct. They want someone proactive who will spot problems, suggest improvements and get things built.
Location: London, hybrid - 3 days in West London office
Salary: £100k to £110k base + quarterly bonus
