- Machine stainless steel and aluminium components — bespoke one-off R&D parts through to repeat batches of 50–100
- Help scale production as the company moves from one system a quarter, to one a month, to one a week over the next year
- Deliver finished, inspected parts where they are needed, and help assemble complex R&D equipment

- CAM programming, setup and execution in Fusion 360
- Comfortable across varied materials and varied parts — tubing, valves, stainless, aluminium, alloy steels, plastics
- High agency. You work quickly with very little supervision, and you are motivated by the energy transition and by building genuinely difficult hardware
- Mission-driven hardware companies under ~500 people that machine their own parts in-house, fusion, space, defence or deep-tech startups, not subcontract shops or large aerospace and automotive production lines.
Nice to have: experience running series batches alongside R&D one-offs, manual mill and lathe skills, and a history of building things for the fun of it.
