Are you a compassionate and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your local community? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Community Psychiatric Nurse to join the Community Mental Health Team in Helensburgh. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload while providing leadership, supervision and support to colleagues within a multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with service users, carers and partner agencies to deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health care that promotes recovery and independence. All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

• You will be based at Helensburgh Community Mental Health Team, Jeanie Deans Centre
• Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 16:45 and Friday 09:00 - 16:30
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a defined caseload providing comprehensive assessment, care planning, review and discharge arrangements for service users
• Deliver specialist mental health nursing care to individuals with complex health and social care needs within the community
• Provide leadership, supervision and clinical support to registered and unregistered nursing staff
• Liaise effectively with GPs, primary care teams, social care, voluntary agencies and other partners to coordinate care
• Assess and manage clinical and environmental risks while supporting safe and effective service delivery
• Maintain accurate clinical records and prepare high-quality reports to support patient care and service requirements
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and the implementation of evidence-based practice
  
  

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• First level Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification
• Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development and commitment to lifelong learning
• Experience of working within adult mental health services and managing a clinical caseload
• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills with the ability to build effective professional relationships
• Experience of providing supervision, guidance or leadership to nursing colleagues within a multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to assess risk, make autonomous clinical decisions and manage complex situations effectively
• Current driving licence and willingness to travel across community settings as required by the role
