Your New Company
We ar partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit a Commodity Buyer. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a specialist commodity area, managing key supplier relationships and ensuring materials are delivered to support production requirements.
Your New Role
- Manage supplier performance, relationships, and delivery commitments.
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with business demand.
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials and components.
- Maintain accurate procurement data within SAP/ERP systems.
- Support cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production teams to meet operational objectives.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience within a Buyer, Commodity Buyer, Purchasing, or Procurement role.
- Manufacturing, engineering, automotive, aerospace, marine, or technical industry experience.
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
- Experience using ERP systems and Excel.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and problem-solving abilities.
- CIPS qualified or working towards qualification (desirable).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
