We are looking for a part time Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Parkinson's Nursing Service at Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth.
This role will support community and acute patients, providing theoretical and practical knowledge.
The successful candidate would need to have compassion and respect with a commitment to excellence and accountability knowledge and skills within this speciality are essential alongside acting as a role model and maintaining professionalism at all times.
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist nursing care, advice, guidance and leadership.

Main duties of the job
Practice autonomously demonstrating problem solving and clinical decision making skills while demonstrating accountability and responsibility
Assess, manage, deliver and co-ordinate the plan of care for patients utilising the effective and efficient use of resources
Undertake investigations driven by protocol and within your competence. Interpret results and act accordingly.
Apply advanced skills, knowledge and behaviours relevant to specific area of practice
Provide specialist clinical knowledge to clinical colleagues, patients and carers/relatives.
Support the development of a learning organisation alerting managers to resource issues which may affect this.
Support the development of specialist knowledge and skills for all staff groups in your specialist area
Make recommendations regarding supplies and equipment, ensuring the effective and efficient use of physical and financial resources.
Establish effective relations and communication networks with internal and external agencies, All Wales or National networks. Maintain awareness of professional issues.

- Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 99 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
- Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services
