Are you an ambitious registrar looking to develop your respiratory career in a supportive, forward-thinking department?
We are delighted to offer three 12-month fixed-term Clinical Fellow posts (ST3-ST5 level) in Respiratory Medicine at Great Western Hospital (GWH). These posts provide an excellent opportunity to consolidate registrar-level competencies, gain procedural experience, and prepare for higher specialty training.
Our Respiratory Department is a dynamic and expanding service delivering high-quality care across inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic pathways. You will join a friendly, cohesive team committed to clinical excellence, education, and innovation.

Main duties of the job
The Role
These posts are designed to balance service delivery with training and development at registrar level. You will:
Participate in day-to-day management of respiratory inpatients across two 37-bedded wards
Manage a diverse case mix including COPD, pneumonia, pleural disease, lung cancer pathways, ILD and complex breathlessness
Take part in the acute general medicine registrar on-call rota (including out-of-hours)
Contribute to MDT working across oncology, radiology, and acute medicine teams
Support outpatient clinics overseen by consultants

- Multi-Disciplinary Team working is a key component of the working within the Trust and involvesregular MDT discussions with colleagues.2.
