Job Description

Category Manager | FMCG

Hybrid: 3 days a week in Staines HQ.

Ready to shape the category agenda with some of the UK’s biggest retailers?

We’re looking for a Category Manager to play a key role in driving category growth across our retail customers and brands.

This is a high-impact role for an ambitious Category professional who can turn data and shopper insight into compelling commercial recommendations — influencing customers, challenging thinking and helping shape the future of the category.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build trusted relationships with key retail contacts and become a genuine category partner of choice
  • Influence range reviews, space, distribution, display and promotional planning across major retailers
  • Champion the Category Vision internally and with customers
  • Use Circana, Kantar, dunnhumby, Retail Link and other data sources to uncover opportunities and tell compelling stories
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Brand teams to translate insight into category and brand growth
  • Develop customer-specific category and trade stories that influence commercial decisions
  • Lead shopper marketing activity and manage customer budgets, continually testing, learning and improving
  • Help raise Category Management capability across the wider business

What we’re looking for

  • You’ll be a graduate-calibre FMCG professional with:
  • 2+ years’ Category Management experience, either as a Category Exec or from agency looking for your next move
  • FMCG experience
  • Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation ability
  • A strong understanding of the UK grocery market
  • The confidence to influence, challenge and drive positive change
  • A creative, commercially-minded approach to solving problems

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution — turning insight into action and making an impact with both customers and internal stakeholders.

If you’re ready to take your Category career to the next level, we’d love to hear from you.
