Candidates should have a degree or equivalent and previous experience managing large customer portfolios within a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, are essential for this role.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Researching and developing intelligence and relationships that lead to generation of new business

  • Producing short and long-term forecasts for internal and external business, including production planning which ensure the sites are optimizing capacity and managing inventory levels

  • Working with corporate departments to ensure compliance for credit control, export licensees, HM Revenue and Customers and internal procedures

  • Responsible for day to day communication with the customer relating to new and existing quotations, delivery commitments, cost reduction activities, timescales audits, testing compliance and certifications

  • Preparing information in support of long- term contracts, complex quotes, budgets and long- range capacity planning, budgeting and monthly forecasts

  • Advise and direct correct requirements to enable good customer relations both internally and externally

  • Regular meeting reviews with customer, Plant Manager, Engineering, Quality, Account Managers, Casting Sales Manager

  • Maintaining the order demand system weekly

  • Quoting for new and current parts, liaising with engineering, quality, NPI team

  • Customer communication updates

  • Preparation of Quarterly Review Presentations

  • Hosting site visits, visit to customer premises

  • Weekly accounts receivable reviews and liaison with Corporate credit team

  • Weekly expedite reports and Oracle system maintenance for changes

  • Export control diligence

  • Participation in audit’s (Financial and Quality) 

  • Customer survey internal reviews

  • Credit control procedures for order acceptance/ completing contract review.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of managing large customer accounts/portfolios desirable
  • Commercial knowledge, as well as the ability to work on immediate operational issues and establishing longer term objectives/goals for the business
  • Excellent organisational, communication and people skills along with drive and resourcefulness
  • Knowledge of import/export controls
  • Strong Microsoft skills, specifically excel and data analysis
  • Degree education or equivalent
  • Capable of working under pressure to achieve set targets and strong time management skills
  • Ability to solve problems and a ‘can do’ attitude to get things done internally and for the customer
  • Strongly developed interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
  • Experience of a manufacturing environment     
  • Enthusiasm and commitment with a tenacious approach
  • Strong sense of integrity and credibility
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify problems and find solutions
  • Have enough technical background to understand customer requirements and in- house limitations
