Requirements
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in bookkeeping or finance administration and possess strong reconciliation skills. An AAT qualification or equivalent practical experience is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage 200.

A well-established UK business operating as part of a globally recognised international manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator / Bookkeeper to join its finance team. The organisation has an excellent reputation within its sector and provides specialist products and support services to customers across the UK and Ireland.Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing business where you will play a key role across finance, payroll and administration.
Your new role
This varied position will suit an experienced Bookkeeper or Finance Administrator who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of a broad range of responsibilities.Key duties will include:
- Multi-currency bank and account reconciliations
- Processing multi-currency supplier invoices
- Managing supplier payment runs
- Administration of online banking and company credit card platforms
- Payroll administration, including liaison with outsourced payroll providers
- Pension scheme administration and reporting
- Maintaining accurate HR records and annual leave documentation
- Supporting ad hoc HR administration and employee benefits
- Administration of company vehicle records
- Maintaining lease contract records and associated accounting schedules
- Assisting with UK and Irish VAT reconciliations and returns
- Supporting month-end reporting processes
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with annual audit requirements
- Supporting requests from stakeholders and external authorities
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within bookkeeping or finance administration and be confident managing a varied workload with minimal supervision.You will ideally have:
- AAT qualification or equivalent practical experience
- At least five years' experience in a similar finance or bookkeeping role
- Strong reconciliation and bookkeeping experience
- Experience processing high volumes of financial transactions accurately
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Previous Sage 200 experience
