Spire Shawfair Park Hospital is looking to recruit an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Bank team within Outpatients.
Located on the outskirts of Edinburgh, Spire Shawfair Park Hospital is a purpose-built private hospital offering a wide range of diagnostic, surgical and outpatient services. The hospital is equipped with modern facilities and advanced technology, providing colleagues with an excellent environment in which to deliver outstanding patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities- Support the clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care within the outpatient setting.
- Undertake routine observations, including blood pressure monitoring and recording of patient information.
- Assist with ECGs and phlebotomy procedures where trained and competent.
- Ensure patient comfort and wellbeing throughout their visit.
- Support consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals within clinics and treatment areas.
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control and patient safety.
Essential
- Previous experience working within a Hospital, Clinic or GP Practice environment.
- Experience taking and recording blood pressure observations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
Desirable
- Phlebotomy (venepuncture) experience.
- ECG experience.
- Experience working within an outpatient setting.
- SVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
