B2 Licensed Engineer

Location: Luton
Employment Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 5 on / 5 off / 4 on night shift pattern, working 12-hour shifts
Salary: Competitive

Line Up Aviation is working with an international line and base maintenance provider based in Luton to recruit a B2 Licensed Engineer.

Our client provides a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, the company can adapt its approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements.

The Role

The primary purpose of the B2 Licensed Engineer position is to carry out certification of work completed in accordance with the scope and privileges of the authorisation held.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all tooling, equipment and premises within the allocated area of responsibility are serviceable and that any discrepancies are duly reported.
  • Ensure all company and legal requirements relating to aircraft and component inspection and production documentation are fully complied with.
  • Maintain the licence, qualifications and training validity required to support the inspection authorisation used during the completion of productive work tasks.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of maintenance procedures, ensuring strict adherence while carrying out line maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety and performance standards within delegated areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain a high standard of written daily maintenance handovers.
  • Ensure the completion of maintenance and inspection tasks within the responsible area, using resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • A valid UK CAA B2 Licence.
  • An Airbus A320 type rating, with six months' recency within the past two years.
  • Base or line maintenance experience on commercial aircraft.
  • A diploma, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
