Job Description
The interviews are expected to be held on the 9th September 2026.
Two full time roles available: both working on a fixed term contract until the 31 July 2028

Are you interested in building and supporting AI-enabled and automated solutions in a large, complex organisation? Are you an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys working with emerging technologies and collaborating with others to solve real-world problems?
As part of the University’s Digital Transformation, we are investing in AI-enabled and automated platforms to improve productivity, support innovation, and provide equitable access to modern digital tools for staff and students.
We are seeking an AI and Automation Systems Senior Engineer to join the Power Platform and Automation team. This role combines solution build, platform support, and user engagement, and is well suited to someone with strong foundational skills and a desire to develop professionally in AI and automation technologies.
This is an investment area with new roles supporting the expansion and effective use of AI and automation platforms across the University. Our ambition is to enable staff and students to adopt AI-enabled tools and automations that deliver real benefit, while ensuring platforms are operated safely, securely, and in line with agreed standards.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and under the guidance of senior colleagues, you will contribute to the design, build, and support of AI and automation solutions. You will work with a wide range of academic and professional services teams to understand needs and help translate them into practical, low-risk solutions.
The University of Leeds is one of the top 80 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities.
