Role overview
FRP Advisory is seeking a proactive and technically proficient Assistant Manager to join our Court Work Team in the Brentwood office. This role is suited to someone with a strong foundation in insolvency casework and the ability to lead assignments, manage stakeholders, and mentor junior colleagues.

FRP Advisory is seeking a proactive and technically proficient Assistant Manager to join our Court Work Team in the Brentwood office. This role is suited to someone with a strong foundation in insolvency casework and the ability to lead assignments, manage stakeholders, and mentor junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a portfolio of insolvency cases including bankruptcies, complex individual voluntary arrangements, compulsory liquidations and creditor voluntary liquidations.
- Draft high-quality reports and statutory documents in line with insolvency legislation, and correspondence
- Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing work and providing feedback
- Be able to work in a team, delegating both upwards and downwards depending on the task
- Ability to understand, explain and produce various insolvency financial statements
- Be able to train others as well as showing a good understanding of technical matters
- Liaise with stakeholders including directors, creditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Oversee asset realisation strategies and ensure recoveries are maximised
- Monitor fee drawdowns and ensure alignment with creditor resolutions
- Contribute to internal training, process improvement, and technical updates
- Support business development initiatives and client relationship management
- Someone who is technical and curious with good attention to detail.
- Someone who wants to expand their knowledge on property work and investigation skills.
- Relevant insolvency professional qualifications preferred
- Relevant case experience essential
- Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insolvency case management systems (e.g. IPS)
- Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
