Summary

I’m working with a fast-growing Series A AI company building software for complex, high-value knowledge work. They’ve found strong product-market fit and are now expanding a small, high-calibre engineering team in London. The Role

They’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer to take ownership of the agentic systems at the heart of the product. This is very much applied AI: building production systems that can research, reason across large volumes of information and produce reliable, evidence-backed outputs.

You’ll work across:

• LLM agents and agent workflows
• Retrieval, search and document understanding
• Evaluation frameworks and AI reliability
• Context engineering and tool use
• Taking prototypes into production
• Working closely with product and customers to solve real problems
• Owning features end-to-end

The team

The team is deliberately small and senior, so you’ll have plenty of influence over architecture, product direction and how the AI stack develops.

The tech stack

Current technologies include Python, LLMs, agent frameworks, OpenSearch, FastAPI, Postgres and RabbitMQ. They’re much more interested in what you’ve actually built and shipped than AI theory or experimentation in isolation.

What They’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Strong Python/software engineering experience
• Shipped LLM, agent or retrieval-based products into production
• Hands-on experience with agents, RAG/retrieval, search and evals
• Strong product instincts and a high level of ownership
• Experience in a fast-moving startup or similarly demanding environment
