Job Description
The purpose of this role is to support HR core/essential work for an area requiring strong professional knowledge. Employees at this level work with a high degree of latitude, have strong knowledge, and handle the most complex issues and problems.
This role reports to Mgr, Area HR Operations with frequent partnership with workforce and area leaders, area HR team, and headquarters Centers of Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Accountable to deliver the activities of the Area HR Generalist 3 and the following essential activities within the assigned area:
- Job change consultation and change management support
- Employee relations & fact finding
- Performance management coaching and calibration
- Process change
- Policy interpretation
- Development programs tailored to area needs
- Manager level training and development program administration and delivery
- Local change management consultation and training
- Payroll operations
- Project management on an ad hoc basis
- Other essential tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or any combination of equivalent education and work experience
- 6 years industry-related experience
- Strong knowledge of HR operations
- Familiarity with best practices of HR functions
- Key skills and core competencies include the ability to: Build relationships. Consult with business leaders
- Resolve complex employee relations issues
- Have an understanding of labor law principles
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Coach and develop employees
- Analyze and interpret data
- Facilitate organizational change
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally through influence and compromise
- To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for extended periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
Desireable:
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Certification in HR e.g., CIPD
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a related field
