Accounts Payable Administrator (4 months FTC)

Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team. The main purpose of this role will involve providing administrative & transactional support to this busy Finance function to ensure supplier expectations and business requirements are met to the highest standard.  

This is currently a 4-month fixed term contract for 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to);
• Processing invoices and credit notes in a timely manner.
• Dealing with supplier queries
• Chasing suppliers for copy invoices, proof of deliveries & statements.
• Reconciling supplier statements.
• Liaising with our Central Finance department regarding payments to suppliers.
• Maintenance of changes in supplier details.
• Setting up new suppliers and carrying out due diligence checks.
• Reviewing the aged creditors report on a monthly basis.
• Other ad hoc duties to assist the Accounts Payable & Supply Finance teams as and when needed.
  
  

Skills & Experience:

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Demonstrable experience working in a similar accounting role
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to work independently to deadlines.
• Accuracy with great attention to detail.
• Confident and pro-active in dealing with key internal customers and suppliers in a professional manager, demonstrating high levels of resilience.
• Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office programs.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to deal with demanding situations.
