About The Role

We are expanding our Sales team and looking for an experienced Account Director to drive growth across the UK Public Sector. You will sell Agile's specialist Data, Cloud, Analytics and AI consultancy services, winning new clients and growing strategic accounts across central government, local authorities and the wider public sector. Your Responsibilities

  • Own complex sales cycles from discovery and solution shaping through proposals, tenders, contract award and handover to delivery.
  • Navigate UK public procurement processes, framework routes and competitive tenders, working closely with bid colleagues.
  • Partner with our consultants and delivery leaders to shape credible, outcomes-led data and AI proposals.
  • Generate co-sell and referral opportunities with our technology and alliance partners.
  • Represent Agile in the UK public sector market; travel to client meetings and events as required (up to 50%).

About You

  • Proven success selling specialist data, cloud, analytics or AI consultancy and professional services into the UK Public Sector - essential.
  • Direct experience working with public bodies, such as central government, local government, the NHS or arm's-length organisations.
  • A strong record of winning new public sector business and developing strategic accounts, supported by measurable sales results.
  • Practical experience of public procurement, including framework agreements, tenders, bid submissions and buying processes.
  • Strong understanding of Data Strategy, Governance, Engineering, Integration, Cloud Data Platforms, Analytics and AI services.
  • Confidence independently managing the full consultancy sales cycle, from opportunity creation to contract award and delivery handover.
  • An established network of public sector stakeholders across Data, Digital, Technology, Commercial and Procurement.
  • Ability to explain complex technical services clearly and link proposals to public sector priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working with bid, technical and delivery teams to develop winning proposals and long-term client relationships.
  • Familiarity with technology and alliance partners such as Microsoft, Informatica, Snowflake, AWS, GCP and Databricks.
  • A hands-on, self-sufficient commercial approach: equally comfortable hunting new opportunities and growing existing accounts.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills. Previous hands-on data consultancy or technical delivery experience is beneficial.
