Account Director – Existing Customers (MAYTAS)
£45,000–£55,000 + commission | OTE up to £75,000
UK Remote | Some customer travel
Help education providers get more value from technology that supports apprenticeships, work-based learning and better learner outcomes.
Tribal is looking for an Account Director to grow and develop relationships across our existing MAYTAS customer base. You’ll identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, strengthen customer retention and help organisations maximise the value they receive from our products and services.
About MAYTAS
MAYTAS is Tribal’s learner and apprenticeship management platform, used by training providers, colleges, universities and employers.
It brings together enrolment, learner records, progress tracking, evidence and assessment, employer engagement and funding compliance—helping customers manage apprenticeship and skills programmes efficiently from one place.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Growing revenue across existing MAYTAS accounts through relevant upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Building trusted relationships with customers and leading regular strategic account reviews.
- Understanding customer priorities, adoption challenges and retention risks.
- Developing account and deal plans while maintaining an accurate pipeline and forecast.
- Working with Marketing, Product, Operations, Customer Success and Sales to support campaigns, bids and customer activity.
- Helping customers maximise the value of MAYTAS and adopt effective approaches across apprenticeship and work-based learning delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- A proven sales, account management or business development background within education or EdTech.
- Experience growing existing customer accounts through consultative selling.
- Knowledge of apprenticeships and work-based learning, ideally across WBL, FE or HE.
- Experience selling software, SaaS or related services.
- Strong commercial, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- The drive and organisation to manage priorities and deliver against sales targets.
Experience selling learner or student management systems, apprenticeship platforms or comparable education technology would be particularly valuable.
