About You

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. This is a full time position covering maternity for 12 months, with potential for this to become permanent. We offer a 4 day week with participation in the Saturday morning rota. Salary up to £60,000 FTE DOE. This role will be split working between our branch site and hospital. You will be working within a culture where clinicians are empowered to make the best decisions, where improvement is encouraged and where best practice is shared.

As an experienced vet, you'll bring a strong level of clinical autonomy and be comfortable handling a varied caseload, offering guidance to the wider team and contributing to shaping clinical standards.

Woodlands Veterinary Hospital is a Small Animal practice with a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists.

We pride ourselves on our friendly and collaborative environment where everyone is supported in providing the best possible care to animals. Our large team of Veterinary Surgeons and RVNs is proud to be an RCVS Approved Graduate Development Practice, supporting the Veterinary Graduate Development Programme. We also support training for SVNs where possible, and encourage open case discussion and idea sharing.

Among our team, we currently have an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery, an Advanced Practitioner in small Animal Dentistry, a certificate holder in medicine, and two vets who are close to completing certificates in emergency & critical care and imaging.

The practice has invested in the latest up to date equipment in order to provide you with the best possible working environment!
