System Integration and Installation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Hitachi Rail is considering the need for a senior engineer to lead the mechanical integration of all train systems into a fully coordinated 3D model, supported by the associated installation drawings. Role & Responsibilities:

• The role would act as the focal point for integrating inputs from the various system engineering disciplines
• Coordinating activity across a multidisciplinary group of around 30 people.
• Individual would also interface closely with a third-party team in Hitachi Rail Italy responsible for detailed modelling and drawing production.
• Hands-on experience in Rolling Stock Mechanical systems integration
• Good knowledge on the different systems of Rolling Stock
• Experience working with customer system design vendors
• Problem resolution experience in the areas of design integration and clashing, stack-up calculations and root cause analysis of the engineering problems

Work Experience

He should have hands-on experience in Design of mechanical systems

Experience in handling the engineering data using CREO and GPLM PLM

Experience in RAIL/ROLLING STOCK MECHANICAL SYSTEMS

Good experience in working with cross functional teams and Integration engineering teams

Ability to identify the root cause of the errors and issue resolution experience

Long term project support 5 months and has potential extension
