Our work spans insurance, hedge funds, private equity funds, private clients, and local tax laws and regulations in our respective jurisdictions, including Economic Substance, Pillar 2, VAT, and AEOI (FATCA/CRS).
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to and providing support to the tax partners and senior management, the successful candidate will participate in and supervise the preparation of U.S. income tax returns for clients in the asset management and insurance industry, including captive insurance and reinsurance.
Additionally, this role is expected to involve preparation of U.S. federal, state, and international disclosures and forms, including Form 1120, 1120-PC, 1065, 8621, 8865/8858 and 5471, and will include supervision of tax staff.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in U.S. taxation
- Understanding of U.S. federal income tax return preparation, with exposure to areas such as asset management/partnerships, property and casualty insurance, U.S. international taxation, U.S. state taxation, and corporations
- CPA or EA designation preferred (or eligibility to sit for the exams); a Master’s in Taxation is also considered
- High attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and within a small team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
