You’ll be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team working in a fast-paced, consultant-led environment, with access to advanced technology and a diverse case mix across interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management.
As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist in our Cath Labs, you’ll take on a highly specialised invasive cardiology role where your expertise is central to the care we provide. Working across a full spectrum of invasive cardiac procedures, you’ll be expected to be proficient across all invasive modalities, including electrophysiology, supporting complex diagnostic and interventional work. This is a role where autonomy, technical excellence and clinical judgement go hand in hand.
Day to day, you’ll be involved in a wide range of invasive and non-invasive procedures for both adult and paediatric patients, contributing to high-quality outcomes in a controlled and well-supported environment. Close collaboration with leading cardiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team means you’ll play an active role in shaping patient care, interpreting complex data in real time and responding to changing clinical situations with confidence. Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you’ll also support the smooth running of the department, helping to ensure services remain efficient, safe and consistently high performing.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver a broad range of cardiac physiology investigations across Cath Lab, electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management and non-invasive services
- Independently perform complex invasive procedures, including pacing, interventional support and electrophysiology studies
- Monitor, analyse and communicate real-time clinical data to support safe and effective patient care
- Respond to emergency situations, including resuscitation, defibrillation and pacing interventions
- Support the leadership team in coordinating resources and maintaining efficient service delivery
- Degree in Clinical Physiology or a related subject
- Significant post-graduate experience within a cardiac cath lab or invasive cardiology setting
- Proven experience across invasive cardiac modalities, including electrophysiology
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions in complex and pressurised environments
- Experience using electrophysiology mapping systems such as BARD, CARTO or Precision
