Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Developer / Team Manager within our Digital Services department based at Ailsa Hospital. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours
36 hrs
Monday to Thursday: 9am 5pm
Friday: 9am 3.30pm (this day could be changed subject to agreement)
This post is offered on a permanent basis
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What You Will Do
As Principal Developer / Team Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a skilled and committed development team, shaping digital solutions that make a real difference across NHS Ayrshire and Arran. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to design, deliver and enhance systems that support service improvement and organisational priorities. You will play a key part in driving digital transformation, maintaining high standards in development and information governance, and creating an environment where team members can grow, develop and thrive.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader with a strong background in software development and digital systems management. You will bring expertise in relevant programming languages and digital platforms, alongside proven experience in project planning, resource management and the successful delivery of digital initiatives. You will be able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and partners, and demonstrate a strong understanding of development best practice, quality assurance and information governance. Experience of supporting, mentoring and developing technical staff will be highly valued, as this role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a talented team and help shape the future of digital services across NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
